Hey everyone, I have one more necessary update to do to the site. It's not going to change the LOOK. It's mainly for security purposes. Once it's done I'm going to make a BIG post on how to use each and every feature of 'BLASTOLOGY'.
I know this place is a pretty good size, and many visitors get flustered on their first registered visit. Because of all the areas. Haha... and yes many of the HM HM drummers get lost in here
So, I'm just awaiting the full update and once completed I promise I'll make some ... either picture or short movie clips on how to navigate each area of Blastology and Half Man Half Machine!
O.K. I'll do my best to explain some features here you all may have never known has been here!!!
1. First quick one is the youtube embed feture. What it does is embed your youtube videos directly into Blastology!
When you create a post you will see all the icons above the text area you type in. Well the last button that has a black 'B' in it is the youtube button. Just copy the last code of the youtube video you want to embed in your post.
Example ... say the video from youtube has a URL of >>
Code:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_VgoU4H5Y4
O.K. just copy the last letters or numbers AFTER the " = " sign. It would be for this video ... 9_VgoU4H5Y4
Type or paste them in the text area. Then highlight them...so you'll see a color over them. Then just click the ' B ' button and it'll do the rest!!
O.K. we have this insanely HUGE gallery and hardly anyone uses it!! W.T.F.
Well, maybe not many know how to use it. So I'll explain. Look at the first attached image. See the arrow pointing to the upload photo text? That's where any REGISTERED Member can upload their images at!! Just click on it. There's a daily limit, I don't remember what Bam set it to. But you can upload your pics there!!!
The 'top stats' area. Well we have a top stats area on top of each forum page. It shows new Members and latest posts. If it bothers you and you do not want to look at it, just click the triangle the arrow is pointing at! It'll make the whole area disappear and it will stay like that thru out your visit. If you want it back, go to the 'menu' button on top of the page and click the top stat button and it'll re-appear!
Menu features added in April!! How to navigate them!!
O.K. Currently there's two menus'. It's not the finished product. I have it like that so that the site could get back up and running. Once completed Our menu will be the top one with the forum buttons. Clicking on the 'menu ' button will create a dropdown menu under it. Look at the attached picture to see!!
You will see options that are pretty much self - expalined.

Mark forums read. You can mark forums you already read!
Open contacts pop up
A new feature where you can see all your contacts, even e-mail them all at once.
Apply to be moderator.
We have not activated this yet, so if you applied. We aren't ignoring you, it just isn't activated.
Then the new networking section

It will show all your contacts and Buds!
Social groups
These are groups Members can make and talk between each other on your own group pages. Example--- maybe a group called Texas drummers. Anyone from Texas can be in it and talk amongst each other in their group.
