yes, our soundman really knows his stuff! he always makes the drums sound great no matter what the situation...

Hello Paul, I recently bought your bands live DVD (Which is really great) and I read here that you do not trigger your bassdrums live. But what do you use live? Just your kicks as they are or do you have some way of altering the sound of your kicks? (I mean dampening but I don't know if that is a real english word )
I'm looking for the same kind of sound, I hope you have some advise?

no, i do not use triggers live. what you here live is the natural sound of the drum. i use very little muffling and i tune them fairly loose. of course having a great soundman really helps as well!!

Ok thanks for the information, the soundman thing will be the problem then I guess, I never hear my kicks live if I don't use triggers they just seem to fade in to the mix.
