Hello everyone!
This is it!!! The updated look of BLASTOLOGY & HALF MAN HALF MACHINE!!!
I've made it so that each site looks similar in design!!! Now, on to all the 'NEW' features!!!
1. I'll start with the Arcade. It's a new one. A little harder to 'cheat' at. And I'll add more games down the road! You can even announce in your posts if you want to challenge any one at a game!!
2. Links Directory. It's been updated and if it doesn't start getting used, I'll delete it! It's a Huge directory and NO ONE seems to care to use it.
3. The Gallery. It's also been updated to the latest version and pretty much all it's updates are internal. I don't know how many of you know this, but you can upload videos in there if you have enough space on your account. Once your account is full. It's full. We can re-new it, but you'll lose everything you have uploaded to it. I will look into it more as it is new here and new to me also!
4. The Chat Room. It's BRAND NEW, and yes there will be rooms there that will be accessible by 'paid subscription' only. Right now, all the videos have NOT been loaded back in. I'll keep those videos 'FREE' for ALL Members still.
5. Navigation Bar!
There's;
A. The (Home) button. It'll take you to the main page of Blastology.
B. The (Gallery) button.
C. The (Links) button will take you to our link directory, and if you click on the -link to us- button there. You'll find our banners! Grab them and use them everywhere!!! Spread the word!
D. The (My Topics) button will show you all the topics you have started!
E. The (Forum) button.
F. The (Chat Room) button.
G. The (User CP) user panel button. It's an important button! You can edit your avatar/ profile pic/ check private messages/ check subscribed threads/ see your reputation points/ it's a important button for all!
H. The (FAQ) Frequently asked questions button.
I. The (Members List) button.
J. The (Calendar) button.
K. The (Arcade) button.
L. The (New Posts) button. Click on it to see what new posts have been made since you last visited.
M. The (Search) button. It will search threads, posts and all your thank you post where people thanked you.
N. The (Quick Links) button. It'll show todays posts and a few other goodies.
O. The (Profiles) button. It'll take you to our Zoints community. Basically, it is Blastologys' myspace!!! Built inside of Blastology!
P. The (Log Out) button.
Also, if you first come into Blastology and 'see' -TheMachines- area looks closed? Just click on the words -The Machines- and it will open up!
If you click on a thread, then it's topic and want to get back...there are little folder icons that will direct you back to where you want to go.
You'll also see -banners- around the forums. You can advertise YOUR band in these!! I'll make a thread with weekly/ monthly prices for anyone wanting to advertise their band inside Blastology.
Also if you want to sponsor a forum....example (click on -the machines-) you'll see a H M H M banner with some text by it. That's another place for advertising! There's also spaces in between posts.....(right now you may see -One Man Army- links. Another place to advertise! Friends, I've been running this site basically with my own $$$$ for FREE for everyone and yes, I'm broke and the life span of BLASTOLOGY will now depend on donations and bands or companies wanting to advertise on the site. Or yes, it will go down.
All registered Members now, DO NOT have signatures. If you WIN a monthly contest or if you have donated. Your signature will be turned 'on'.
Some of you may say this is bullshit. Oh well, if you knew how much Half Man & Blastology plus monthly maintenance with bandwidth costs.... you would n't be saying it. TRUST ME!
On the main page once you log-in, your Avatar and user control panel will be on top! You can check for Private messages and new posts there too! And there's a site navigation to the left of that module, in which I put a link to our monthly contests there! More links will be added.
If you click on the BIG ' BLASTOLOGY' logo on top of all pages....you'll go to the main page of Blastology. If you click on the drum with the H M H M on it....it will take you to Half Man Half Machine!
Now....when posting....You'll see the different types of Fonts you can use, the sizes, the colors. Also the smilies and a attachment button. Then there's a insert link and remove link button. Insert E-Mail/ insert image/ tag wraps and....... see the last button? Itlooks like a square with the Blastology 'B' in it? That's the insert -youtube videos- button.
There's also an 'infractions' button on ALL Members posts. I'll say this once and this one time only...so I hope everyone reads this---->>>
Abuse of the youtube button (Throwing on porn or shit like that) and you are 1- step from being banned for life!
I re-built this forum to the max. Let's enjoy it! Hangout with some of the greatest drummers alive, and possibly.... maybe learn a tip or technique or trick or two...hey?
