Axis Settings?

Hey, I'm surprised no one seems to have posted in here yet.
I'm a huge fan of Unmerciful, my favourite song is Legion of Sickness, can't wait for the next album.

I'm wondering what kind of axis pedals you have and what settings you use?
(Don't worry if you only see this like a year later or something, but still reply!)

Cheers.

Axis Pedals

Hi guys.

Can you tell me where the difference between the Axis A and X is ?
In Germany most shops don't have a clue because most shops don't sell em.

thx
Julian

the A serie has the variable drive lever (VDL) and the X series doesn't. you'll probably wonder what this setting may be. the easiest way to know is to go to the Axis website : Axis Percussion and see the questions & answers section. you can see what the whole thing is about in the description of the pedals also.

Thx.

I should have read the Axispage more careful ^^

Tell me why to use Axispedals (normal or longboard) - what makes it better than "usual"pedals ?

Ok guys, I don't think that James will ever come here and post.

But I can answer your question regarding his pedal settings.

He uses Axis X longboards, Axis marksmen beaters which are the beaters that come with the X longboards for those who don't know that.

As for his pedal settings, he has his beaters sticking out Seven Inches from the piece that holds the beaters. Thats the entire beater sticking out. And the distance from the drum head was 4.5 inches. Lastly, his spring tension is as tight as it can go.

This was told from him to me, when I had the chance to hang out with him while he was in Houston recording tracks for Viral Load.

These were his settings back in December of '07. So I don't know if he uses these settings. If you want to know more about what James does, then try and get a hold of a dude named CL Wilson. You can find him on the Roddy Forum and on myspace. He is very good friends with James.

Cool, thanks a lot man.
I thought he might have his springs as tight as possible.

I Have Axis AL pedals with the vdl but with X I believe their is just 2 points the strap can be connected to the beater assembly? (or whatever it's called).

I'm not sure why people choose X...like I noticed Tim Yeung had Axis-X in a video and Bostic Man....various others.

Good to know anyways.
Cheers.
