Axis - Cardan problem

Hi, iŽll need your help again.
I have an Axis double pedal and the piece that conects the main pedal to the slave (cardan i think) aways yield (slips) when i play stronger, like when i play with my band.
I have tried to tension more the screw but it keep yielding. so i put the slave pedal in one position but it aways change...
its normal? i have to tension the screw all i can?

thanks!
Malpighi

Make sure that the cardan fits properly to the slave pedal, because I had the same problem with my double pedals but when I adjusted it, it worked flawlessly.

Aha, so you mean that it tend to slip when you are playing at higher speeds?

I actually got the same problem, when I play fairly hard/aggressive it will start to slip and eventually carve into the ax

make sure the secondary rod sticks far enough in the primary so that all three screws hold it in place.

Try to put in a 'studlock' and tighten it accordingly. Maybe what's happening there is that the grubscrews become loose of the vibration of playing hard & as soon as there's not enough grip it starts to slip.

That's about it for the negative things on the AXIS pedals- all the grubscrews 'eat' their way into the metal when tightened !!!

to Chaosblaster : I don't have the same problem as Malpighi, but for the screws that need a drumkey, I have a problem that is debated there : http://www.blastology.net/f128/drumk...499/#post26224

anyway, do the cardan have a right side and a left side ? the enlightened part on that picture is on the left, and so it is on most of axispercussion website.

(In my case, it doesn't tend to slip when I play, it is firmly hold.)
well, I think I'm not absolutly clear on this case... an answer about the fact that the cardan has a right side and a left side will do the trick.

thanks in advance !
