Axis Vs. Trick
Hey George, I just recentaly bought the new Trick Pro 1-V drum pedals (actually i own the first ones in Canada). I was wondering if you have tried them yet, or kow of them? A lot of people i know who play axis, say that they might change to the Trick pedals, so i was wondering what you thought.
Thanks for all the good work, and inspiration and those exercises on your site are exellent, i use them as teaching tools sometimes.

Fuckin right, Canada!! I'm from Cambridge (near Kitchener).
I was talking with a guy from Trick about ordering them to Canada, and he told me for a double pedal it was something like $1,100!!
How much did you pay?

I haven't play them but it's obvious that this company copied Axis pedals, same desing, same craft etc.I don't know if they are as good as Axis,i doubt to tell you the truth but if you like them...that's what is importand...
Are they really so expenssive??

Ya, they are that expensive. They definitely copied axis, but i find that they took alot of their ideas and expanded on them, making them a bit more user friendly. Thats what i think and as you said George, I like them, and thats all that matters.

True, true and once again true, plagiarism on a high level.

Yamaha did it too, and technically Axis plagiarized off of Ludwig speed kings.
They are not the originals, they just made them better.

Yes Speed king so was Ghost and some other pedals as well.
but only like a steel strap NOT a solid drive like Axis
So Axis was the first with a SOLID direct drive.
