i know that feeling man...try to lean forward so you can give you knees some more weight and this way you will be more balanced...

You need to play relaxed without tension in your legs (and everywhere else for that matter).

I think you're doing this because you're trying to put less weight on your feet so your ankles can move more freely. Try sitting a little bit further away from the kit, or you can just practice and try to really stay straight hehe. Although if you do this you'll probably move up the footboard like Romain does (which isnt a bad thing because he hits hard as fuck)

Hi guys, thank you for the tips!!!
I noticed that I can use better "ankle motion" with half tight springs..... or at least this is what is appening during my practice...maybe it's because my ankles are not so strong.

What is you experience with ankle motion??'

thanks!

ankle motion

That is how i felt when i first started with ankle motion. but george's springs are as tight as they can get-so it is even harder and a better workout.this strengthens your ankles. the tight springs help with faster rebound and you learn how to play the rebound like bouncing a basketball.

that`s true
and (try to) play heel down when you practice maybe
you can build up you ankle-muskles that way

If you play heeldown of heelup, practising both is great. I do that too
At the beginning it seems hard but after a few weeks you'll get more used to it.

Hi Guys, I found that with lower tension springs I can use better my ankles....
So i'm in a MID tension spring "period"...and things are working fantastic...with heavier springs I just can't do the motion without tensing up..is this normal?
