beaters?

George-
I have been researching beaters on this forum and there are many different opinions.
Is there an advantage in using danmar felt beaters rather than sonic hammers?
why are they better than sonic hammers?

also, can you confirm this is how you setup your pedals:
beaters 45 degress from head about 8 inches away and full spring tension. anything else? beaters hit middle of head?
Thanks George cannot wait for more videos
Erik
PS I am in week 11 of your 16 week endurance control course. It is brutal as I am at 216 bpm not trying to do 16ths. at this level do you play with the heel all the way down to use full ankle motion or is the heel still raised-i noticed you swivel so it cannot be down.

Hey man,
i am using the Iron Cobra's rubber beaters,it's just that i like them omore than anything i've tried and i tried many.I don't like the Sonic Hammers at all,and i don't like the danmars too,i checked them out once but they are too light for me.If i wasn't into Cobras maybe i would use the new Pearls,i really like those too. What i would suggest to you is try as many as you can and make sure to mess around with your pedal settings too, each beater works with different settings.
For the 16-Week program the foot motion is as described on the first page:
8th notes=Leg motion
16th notes=Leg/Ankle motion
32nd notes=Ankle motion.
There is no heel down at all.
Remember, our goal is to make these 3 to look like one,as possible...

George
