Beaters

Which beaters do you use and about how far do you have them from your kick?

i tryed 45degres from the kick drum and i really liked the feel of it but after about 5 min i started to get lactic acid burn and tense up so i moved them to about 5 inches from the head ill move them back one day when my legs are stronger

Apparently you use the weight of your leg to actually hold the beater closer to the head. Meaning the stroke it taken in the last 30 degree's or so. I think Mike Mangini has spoken about this before..........

I guess its samething from Dave Lombardo clinic vid, when resting foot gently on the plate beater is easily much closer the head that you would think..

Btw i switched from IC felts to rubber ones and i really like them, actually somehow helps to get more volume on really slow speeds (=2foot blasts...).

Love, power, will and comfortability. You got to remember this is death metal or extreme music which ever you prefer. You've got to have some power in your playing. My pedals are the same way since the beginning. No matter what pedal I use, I still have to have some power. I think George and Derek would agree.
