Books & DVDs on moeller/gladstone/swivel technique

Here I am again,

As I said I'm halfway around the world sitting in a shithole called South Africa & theres very little bookstores & shops to find anything on Moeller method, gladstone method or the swivel technique that GEORGE uses.

Any help will be appreciated. It seems my hands (&blsats) are stuck at 200bpm and I really want to lift the bar a notch or 2.

I'm currently using the "heel-toe" method but I'd like to learn the swivel technique & see wich fits me best.

Thanx guys

Take it slow. Learn to master slow tempos first before going faster. try playing with a metronome at 60bpm and first play 4th notes, then 6th notes(triplets) then 8th notes then 12 notes then 16th notes...etc... try to get 'em REALLY tight and confident. Speed comes from control and balance. think of sitting ON your ass. so that you feel a kind of a pressure on your ass when you'd play on a wooden stool for example. Maintain that(good balance).

Speed comes slowly, don't think about it. Just try to play some fast shit and someday it might start coming! I tried to play Rotten Sound's murderworks for like 1,5 years before I nailed it BADLY. Nowadays I can (about 1,5 after...) nail it pretty well but not half as well as kaitsu .

the point is: concentrate on the music, not the speed. Speed will come eventually if you haven't got any too bad habbits. Keep grinding!

I Concur...

nicely put, Keessi...

The best way to push yourself is go play along music that is demanding for you. Nothing to utopic of course, something which you assume to be able to nail within a decent amount of time and work.

When I was at a Nile show in September this year, I briefly talked go george... but before that he was talking to a guy who had obviusly asked how george gained such tremendous speed... I can recall george saying "... don't worry about it too much... speed............. comes!"

Sorry to bother again here...

if I'm taking it slow for an example i'm doing 60bpm and 1st play a 4th notes and 8th and 16th... ( duration of each practice set , especially I play 1-2 hours a day)

please fill me up on this issue ( seems rudendant )

just like George Kollias 16th week work out ( I can't read those notes but I have a metronome ) and I don't know how to distinguish my own body wherein what is my leg,leg & ankle , ankle motions...whenever I practice seems like I always do a Leg motion...
