pedal setup, plz help

Hey george.
how goes?
so glad here is a forum like this.i dont know what to do.
i have a iron cobra power glide double bass pedal.plz dont laugh
but i used to get 220 with it.once 240, but thats history.and i dont know why.i changed the pedal that the footboard is higher and the springs kinda tite.but realized it doesent work at all.i feel like i just started double bass.im so in that i wanna give up mood now.how must i setup the iron cobra double bass pedal.do u think the footboard was be somewhere in the middle with heavy duty springs or something.
plz help.

Well if you was more comfortable with how it was surley you should change it back? George plays with his springs as tight as they'll go, but it can be helpful asking for advice but do what suits you best

adjust your pedals so you can get the most rebound possible.
practice some heel down for control.
your just going to have to get back into the groove man. put all your pedal settings somewhere in the middle and adjust from there.

try all settings possible & find the best for your playing for sure it take long times , but you see the difference withh all settings !! good luck

I got also Iron Cobras and i'am searching also the best settings 4 me. i think there is no "magic" pedalsetting.... like quyome said try all settings an take the best. gl

Hey.
thanx alot for replying on my post.awesome to talk to drummers for a change.
yeah, i think i must just experiment with my pedal like you guys said.
it's just so depressing.cause when i play with the pedal now, it feels like i cannot double bass at all.like, i cannot even nail 200 bpm double bass.and that's one of our slowest songs in our band.that sucks.feel so depressed.
is it just my pedal setting or is it just some screwed up phase or something?

Could be either, but it sounds to me as if it all went downhill when you changed the settings. So why can't you just change them back? Don't you remember how they were?

you can also try the set-up of George Kollias & Derek Roddy ; check out their website & you can start like that !!! but with my axis pedal , around 2 years to find a good setting for me !! again , good luck

it takes a while to find the right setting but you gotta take the time and do it..i as well use the Iron Cobras i have spring tension all the way up the the footboard in the middle but thats just my settings u gotta play around with it
